Those who can realize Your immense greatness know that. The lay people disrespect Your simplicity as they do not understand the true import f it. You are Omnipresent, yet hidden. Due to Your untold mercy, You appear in form and play happily with the bhaktas.

भवसि त्वं सुखाराध्यो दुराराध्योपि योगिनाम्
भक्तानां सुलभोसि त्वं सुराणामपि दुर्लभः
Though inaccessible even to the yogis for worshipping, You are got easily by us. You are unattainable even to the devas. But You are very near and easily reachable to the bhaktas.

At that time he heard a very melodious music played on the flute reaching him from within the temple. Surprised Vyasadasa rushed into the temple. He saw there Shri Krishna holding the flute in His hand and playing on it so melodiously. Seeing that Shri Krishna had Himself taken that precious stone-studded flute in His hand Vyasadasa was perturbed greatly by the intensity of loving devotion. Thus having his desire fulfilled he worshipped and prayed to Lord Madhava, the Bhaktavatsala and the Rasikendra (the head of the rasikas).

Vyasadasa became dissapointed as he could not dorn the hand of Shri Krishna with that flute and hence he placed it at the feet of Him with reverence. Deep in sorrow, Vyasadasa was sitting under a mandara tree outside the temple.

But that golden flute was bigger in size compared to the hole in the hand portion in the moorti of Nandakumara.
