श्रीसद्गुरुरुवाच

इत्युक्त्वा कोपवेगेन तमादाय ससंभ्रमम् |

आजघान च भर्तारं प्रशान्तहृदयं प्रभुम् ||

तं दृष्ट्वा निजभर्तारं प्रसन्नवदनाम्बुजम् |

क्षमानिधिं महात्मानं लज्जिता दुःखिताsभवत् ||

सान्त्वयामास तां प्रेम्णा तुकारामः क्षमानिधिः |

पतिव्रतां महासाध्वीमाक्ष्लिष्य मृदुभाषणैः ||

Shri Sadguru said

Having spoken thus, in total anger and despair, she beat her husband, the serene and noble master with that sugar cane stick. Even while being beaten like that, her husband remained very calm and smiling. Looking at that, she became very sad and ashamed of herself. Tukaram, the man of endurances, embraced his chaste and modest wife, and consoled her with soothing words.
