जीजाबायी तु सा दारिद्रयेणैव पीडिता |
शुक्रवारव्रतं चक्रे धनलाभाय सादरम् ||
सुप्रसन्ना भगवती रुक्मिणी केशवप्रिया |
जीजाबायी ददौ भैष्मी भूषणानि धनानि च ||
The virtuous and chaste Kanakabai observed strict austerity on Fridays in order to obtain wealth as she was suffering from grinding poverty. Pleased with her austerity, Devi Rukmini, the royal consort of Shri Panduranga, blessed her with a lot of gold coins and ornaments.
