Thus, as her life was caught in peril, Haseena became very sad and the agony of separation from Shri Krishna tormented her all the more. She stayed there always meditating upon Shri Govinda. The issueless queen considered Haseena to be her own daughter and looked after her with great care. Enquired by that queen with great love and concern, Haseena narrated her story.

They decided to stay there peacefully pitching tents for the night. But suddenly a group of ruthless robbers came there. They tore the tents into pieces and beat and killed the merchants. The two girls got terribly frightened. In great shock they were hiding in a place meditating upon Shri Krishna. Finding them there the robber chieftan became very happy. That strong, cruel, lustful man dragged them away forcefully. When the king of that region came to know of this, with real kindness he bought them for a price and brought them to his place.

In the meantime some merchants of Persia started for India. Getting the permission of her father Haseena also started along with Hameeda. Travelling through many forests and many other strange places the travellers reached the sea-shore.

She had a friend named Hameeda. Haseena disclosed her love for Shri Krishna to her friend. With the longing to reach Shri Brindavan, she was spending her time in singing in praise of the noble attributes of Shri Krishna. She was staying in her place tormented by the agony of separation from Shri Krishna

Once a traveller from India reached there unexpectedly. He gave a description of the beauty and glory of Shri Brindavan. Listening to the account of the divine glory and supremacy of Shri Krishna, she developed great love for Him and desired to have Him as her fiance.

In Persia there was a rich muslim. He had a blessed daughter named Haseena. She was graceful and charming and was endowed with good manners. She was gentle and affectionate. She was not aware of the customs and conventions of the family. She was quite daring. She was just sixteen years old and was innocent like a child. There was no tinch of ostentation in her.

The great scholars while-away their life-time in vain, discussing the pros and cons of controversial passages from the Shastras. Those rasikas who have abiding love for Shri Krishna and are enchanted by His glory, though ignorant of the Shastras, are really fortunate.

Lord Hari is within the reach of that person who has cultivated unflinching faith and devotion for Him, consciously or otherwise. With the help of the device of loving devotion many bring Shri Krishna into their fold, while He stands beyond the reach of even great yogis. When this is true what is the use of unnecessary arguments?

Shri Sadguru said

Bhakti is the only instrument aiding in gaining the coveted darshan of Shri Krishna, Birth in a particular country, clan or community, religious rites and rituals - none of these is necessary to attain it.

Vaishnava Samhita. Karmadevi Charitam. Vol II Book VI Chp 10 Shlokas 40 - 41

Shri Sadguru continued

Having spoken thus that brahmana lost control of himself and wept bitterly. Now his wife consoled him. One who reads the life story of Shri Karmadevi with ardent devotion, shall acquire loving devotion to Shri Govinda.

Thus ends Chapter Ten entitled 'Karmadevi Charitam' of Book VI of Shri Vaishnava Samhita composed by Shri Shri Krishna Premi Swamigal

Vaishnava Samhita. Karmadevi Charitam. Vol II Book VI Chp 10 Shlokas 38 - 39

Though your daughter is very young, she has reached Shri Brindavan and taken Shri Krishna to be her husband unmindful of abuses. She has very deep devotion to Shri Krishna and hence she should definitely be a Gopi. Due to our good fortune she is born as our beloved daughter

The brahmana said

You are quite blessed. Your wedded life has become meaningful. Your daughter has become a devoted servant-maid of Shri Krishna

But all his entreaties failed. Karmadevi did not agree to leave Shri Brindavan and return home. That brahmana, a great devotee of Lord Krishna returned home empty handed and in great sorrow. By way of consoling his wife he spoke the following

In the meantime, Parashurama learnt that his daughter was living in Shri Brindavan. In order to avoid the gossips of relatives and others he came to take her home.

Her neck was adorned with a rosary of Tulasi-beads. She was wearing a worn-out dress. She was practising strict continence and austerities and took a simple food comprising roots and fruits. Oordhrva Tilak was beautifying her forehead. Karmadevi, the lover of Shri Krishna, lived on the bank of Yamuna with keen interest in chanting the Divine Names of Shri Krishna.

The very moment there was seen a dead stinking camel whose abdomen was dug deep into a cavity by foxes. Karmadevi who feared the shackles of samsara and the pungent odour of sense enjoyments entered into the cavity in the stomach of the camel and started meditating on Shri Krishna. Those soldiers could not bear that foul smell and hence did not go that side in search of her. Unable to find her out they returned back. Unexpectedly some devotees of Lord Hari came there chanting Shri Krishna's Names, on their way to Shri Brindavan.
