The aged devotee, Premanidhi walked about the so badly affected Brindavan. He was unmindful of the chill wind for he was keen in his service to his Lord. filling the pot in his hand with Yamuna water, he started towards his residence enthusiastically.

Once it poured down cats and dogs accompanied by thunder, lightening and chill winds. At that time Shri Brindavan was very badly affected. It was encircled by darkness. It was slushy all over and hence the path was eroded. Many trees were lying haphazard on the ground.

Each one should firmly engage in some routine sevice to Shri Krishna suited to one's taste and capacity. This is the characteristic feature of true devotion. A staunch devotee should not give up his routine even at the cost of his life. Shri Govinda gets gratified only to find such sincere involvements on the part of His devotees.

On the bank of the Yamuna, there was a brahmana named Premanidhi. He was a distinguished vaishnava having the service of Shri Krishna as the only object of his life.

Vaishnava Samhita. Premanidhi Charitam. Vol III Book VI Chp 19 Shlokas 8 - 10

The elephant himself hands over to the mahout the chain that binds him. In the same way Shri Achyuta grants an individual, bhakti that is capable of binding Him. Shri Bhagavan is the Lord of all the three worlds. Yet He gets bound by bhakti and remains in servitute for the sake of His own devotees. The modesty of Shri Bhagavan manifests itself thus. As a result all the bhaktas lead a comfortable and peaceful life.

Vaishnava Samhita. Premanidhi Charitam. Vol III Book VI Chp 19 Shloka 7

Shri Bhagavan, the repository of compassion, endows one with pious devotion and then, Himself becomes happy over the devotion of the bhakta.

Vaishnava Samhita. Premanidhi Charitam. Vol III Book VI Chp 19 Shloka 5

Shri Bhagavan is the escort of those who tread the path of bhakti. Hence He looks after the welfare of those prema bhaktas who are always engaged in meditation on Shri Bhagavan.

Vaishnava Samhita. Premanidhi Charitam. Vol III Book VI Chp 19 Shloka 3

Children are free of cares and worries and are at peace in the company of their affectionate mther. In the same way the bhaktas are at peace followed by Shri Krishna with great mercy

Shri Sadguru said

Shri Bhagavan who is our sole escort eradicates, with untold mercy, all hurdles that interrupt the journey of those who travel on the path of devotion.

Vaishnava Samhita. Krishnadasa Charitam. Vol III Book VI Chp 18 Shlokas 34 - 36

Those who have love for the four-armed form of Shri Vishnu and who long for moksha do not enjoy the right to dwell in Shri Brindavan. Yogis, ritual-ridden ascetics and the vedantis do not deserve a life in Shri Brindavan. Shri Brindavan is eternally worshipped and adored by only those bhaktas who are true rasikas filled with prem. Such bhaktas stand above worldly and Vedic regulations and have Krishna prem as the only abiding passion in life.

Thus ends Chapter Eighteen entitled 'Krishnadasa Charitam' of Book VI of Shri Vaishnava Samhita composed by Shri Shri Krishna Premi Swamigal.

Vaishnava Samhita. Krishnadasa Charitam. Vol III Book VI Chp 18 Shlokas 32 - 33

Shri Sadguru continued

Yogi Krishnadas listened to those words of Devi Radha and left Brindavan without any feeling of sadness. The pleasure of residing in Shri Brindavan cannot be realized by those who do not have bhakti for Devi Radha even though they are true Krishna bhaktas.

Krishnadasa Charitam. Vol III Book VI Chp 18 Shlokas 30 - 31

Those great ones who have loving devotion to Shri Krishna as the only abiding passion and who permanently reside in Shri Brindavan get the reward of joining the Raasa leela. But those bhaktas who reside in Shri Brindavan are endowed with Gopi prem and they revel only in the two armed manifestation of Shri Vishnu viz. Shri Venugopala, the very personification of divine bliss.

Vaishnava Samhita. Krishnadasa Charitam. Vol III Book VI Chp 18 Shlokas 28 - 29

The exalter vaishnavas bearing the marks of the conch and disc, who reside in Dwaraka get the reward of residence in Shri Vaikuntha. Those yogis who yearn for mukti, revel as you do in the form of Shri Vishnu with four arms holding the gada, the conch and the disc.

Vaishnava Samhita. Krishnadasa Charitam. Vol III Book VI Chp 18 Shlokas 25 - 26

Only there Shri Krishna exhibits Himself as Shri Narayana with four arms wielding the conch, the disc and the gada. There alone Shri Bhagavan is seen as the son of Shri Vasudeva and the consort of Devi Rukmini. But here, Shri Krishna, the perfect and the Supreme Being mainifests Hiself as the son of Shri Nanda, a child with two hands playing on the flute.
