Some true devotees considered Meera to be Shri Radha Devi herself. But the Vedic scholars and the men who valued social customs abused her as a disobedient wife. Meera, who was oblivious to all the three worlds did not care for appreciation or abuse. She considered herself to be a Gopi.

But Meera treated praise and blame alike and had divine love for Shri Krishna as the only object of her life. Ignoring the Vedic code and social restrictions she remained engaged in developing Krishna bhakti.

Some ordinary men, who were proud of their knowledge, could not understand her sublimity. They started preaching her about the need to abide by the rules of the royal family.

Shri Sadguru continued

When Meera listened to these words by the Devadeva, the Sovereign Bhagavan, she became sad and then, gave her approval for the marriage. Kumbhaji married her ceremoniously. He became very happy to find the deep loving devotion of Meera to Lord Krishna. Even after her marriage Meera continued to render loving service to Lord Krishna daily without fear.

Thus ends Chapter Twelve entitled 'Meera Charitam I' of Book VI of Shri Vaishnava Samhita composed by Shri Shri Krishna Premi Swamigal

Listening to these words of Meera the physicians retreated silently. Meera continued  to suffer the agony of separation from Lord Krishna. The ocean of compassion, Lord Krishna with a bluish complexion appeared in her dream and spoke very kindly.

There is some cure for all diseases. But there is no medicine to cure the agony of separation from Lord Krishna. None can understand the depth of my feeling. Krishna-kirtan is the only panacea for this.

Meera was suffering pangs of separation from Lord Krishna. Forgoing food and milk she became lean. Forgoing sleep Meera was heaving deep sighs of sorrow. Weeping in distress and rolling on the ground, she grieved, her body wrapped with dust. Her father brought the doctors to treat her. Meera spoke thus to her distressed father.

There was a famous princess named Meera. She had nurtured prema bhakti towards Lord Krishna right from her childhood. She was very good at singing and was an adept in playing on the Veena. She was young, charming and had a deep understanding of the essence of prema bhava. She was always engaged in singing melodiously in praise of Shri Giridhari. Due to her deep love for Him she was oblivious to the restrictions imposed by Vedic precepts and the code of worldly life.

Vaishnava Samhita. Meera Charitam I. Vol II Book VI Chp 12 Shlokas 6 - 10

Shri Krishna, the primeval and eternal entity and the sole Supreme Being alone is the Purushottama. Even the Vedas identify Him alone as the Purushottama. The virtuous vaishnavas, who have understood the import of Vedic philosophy, with pious hearts filled with Gopi prem fondly worship Shri Krishna as their spouse. The foolish once engulfed by self-pride consider themselves to be masculine in vain. They fall prey to Kaala (Time) due to unavoidable slavery (to the Lord). He who is depended on by time, nature, souls and the five elements alone is the Purushottama. Shri Krishna, in whose control the devas, men and the gandharvas, the siddhas, the vidyadharas and others are enfolded, is the only Purushottama.

Vaishnava Samhita. Meera Charitam I. Vol II Book VI Chp 12 Shlokas 4 - 5

न पौरुषं सेवकेषु सेव्यो पौरुषमुत्तमम्  |
सर्वसेव्यस्ततः कृष्णःपुरुषोत्तम उच्यते  ||

Thinking deep about the worshiper and the worshiped I have arrived at this conclusion. The worshiped is the Purushottama. All the worshipers are in reality females. For, all the worshipers are lacking in masculinity and the quality of being all-powerful. Only the worshiped possess that quality. Hence Shri Krishna who is worshiped by all is the sole Purushottama.

Vaishnava Samhita. Meera Charitam I. Vol II Book VI Chp 12 Shloka 3

जीवाः कृष्णपराधीना न स्वतन्त्राः कदाचन |
स्वभावः कृष्णदास्यञ्च तेषां सर्वसुखावहम्  ||

All living beings are under the sovereignty of Shri Krishna. They never enjoy absolute freedom. It is the natural duty of all souls to engage in the service of Shri Krishna, which bestows upon them all good.

Vaishnava Samhita. Meera Charitam I. Vol II Book VI Chp 12 Shloka 2

सर्वस्वतन्त्रो भगवान् सर्वशक्तो जगद्गुरुः  |
सर्ववेदान्तसंवेद्यः श्रीकृष्णः पुरुषोत्तमः ||

In all the Vedantic precepts only Shri Krishna is extolled as the Purushottama, the Creator of all the world, the one endowed with all virtuous qualities the one who is eternally bondless independent and omnipotent.

Shri Krishna, the very embodiment of truth, wisdom and bliss, is the Supreme Being. The Trinity of Godhead and also all others are but His manifestations only.
