Shri Bhagavan who is our sole escort eradicates, with untold mercy, all hurdles that interrupt the journey of those who travel on the path of devotion.

Vaishnava Samhita. Krishnadasa Charitam. Vol III Book VI Chp 18 Shlokas 34 - 36

येषां चतुर्भुजे विष्णौ वैकुण्ठे वर्तते स्पृहा |

Those who have love for the four-armed form of Shri Vishnu and who long for moksha do not enjoy the right to dwell in Shri Brindavan. Yogis, ritual-ridden ascetics and the vedantis do not deserve a life in Shri Brindavan. Shri Brindavan is eternally worshipped and adored by only those bhaktas who are true rasikas filled with prem. Such bhaktas stand above worldly and Vedic regulations and have Krishna prem as the only abiding passion in life.

Thus ends Chapter Eighteen entitled 'Krishnadasa Charitam' of Book VI of Shri Vaishnava Samhita composed by Shri Shri Krishna Premi Swamigal.

Shri Sadguru continued

Yogi Krishnadas listened to those words of Devi Radha and left Brindavan without any feeling of sadness. The pleasure of residing in Shri Brindavan cannot be realized by those who do not have bhakti for Devi Radha even though they are true Krishna bhaktas.

Krishnadasa Charitam. Vol III Book VI Chp 18 Shlokas 30 - 31

Those great ones who have loving devotion to Shri Krishna as the only abiding passion and who permanently reside in Shri Brindavan get the reward of joining the Raasa leela. But those bhaktas who reside in Shri Brindavan are endowed with Gopi prem and they revel only in the two armed manifestation of Shri Vishnu viz. Shri Venugopala, the very personification of divine bliss.

Vaishnava Samhita. Krishnadasa Charitam. Vol III Book VI Chp 18 Shlokas 28 - 29

द्वारकायां निवसतां वैष्णवानां महात्मनाम् |

अस्मिन् बृन्दावने नित्यं वसताञ्च महात्मनाम् |
कृष्णप्रेमपराणां तु फलं तद्रासमण्डलम् ||

The exalter vaishnavas bearing the marks of the conch and disc, who reside in Dwaraka get the reward of residence in Shri Vaikuntha. Those yogis who yearn for mukti, revel as you do in the form of Shri Vishnu with four arms holding the gada, the conch and the disc.

Vaishnava Samhita. Krishnadasa Charitam. Vol III Book VI Chp 18 Shlokas 25 - 26

Only there Shri Krishna exhibits Himself as Shri Narayana with four arms wielding the conch, the disc and the gada. There alone Shri Bhagavan is seen as the son of Shri Vasudeva and the consort of Devi Rukmini. But here, Shri Krishna, the perfect and the Supreme Being mainifests Hiself as the son of Shri Nanda, a child with two hands playing on the flute.

Even after listening to those words of Devi Radha, the embodiment of kindness, that mahatma left on a pilgrimage to Dwarka along with other yatris. He received the Pancha Samskara initiation and Vaishnava Deeksha in Dwarka. After visiting many holy places he came back to Shri Brindavan. Again Shri Radha Devi gave him darshan. She uttered the following sweet words to him who had now got the Vaishnava Deeksha and hence bore the marks of the holy conch disc on his forearms.

Vaishnava Samhita. Krishnadasa Charitam. Vol III Book VI Chp 18 Shlokas 15 - 20

This Shri Brindavan is superior to the Brahma-patta, samrajya and even Shri Vaikuntha. Shri Vaikuntha is the home of the Supreme Soul. Ksheerabdhi (the ocean of milk) is His work spot. Shri Brindavan is the place of His recreation and leela and hence His divine play-ground. Only in this serene Brindavan the unfettered divine pastimes of Shri Krishna are exhibited. Only here, pure prem bound by no controls is given pride of place and utmost importance. In other places the Supreme Soul is not given due respect by the worldly selfish people and vaidikas. Hence He is not freely manifesting His grandeur. But those who reside in Shri Brindavan are filled with the nectar of flawless loving devotion. The residents of the Gokula carry on all their duties only for the pleasure of Shri Krishna. Hence, Oh, pious one! You need not go anywhere leaving this Brindavan. It is impossible to find the presence of the eternal and perfect Supreme Being anywhere else.

Shri Radha Devi said

Oh! Bhakta! Carefully listen to My words of compassion. In all the three worlds there is no holy place superior to Shri Brindavan.

That distinguished yogi, adorned with wisdom and renunciation, once wanted to go to Dwaraka along with some vaishnavas. Knowing his desire to have a trip to Dwaraka, Shri Radha Devi appeared in his dream and uttered the following sweet words.

Vaishnava Samhita. Krishnadasa Charitam. Vol III Book VI Chp 18 Shlokas 9 - 10

That committed Krishna bhakta stayed near Govardhana Hill, carried on Hari bhajan and thus enriched his bhakti to Lord Govinda. Just by his stay in Shri Brindavan he gained the mercy of Devi Shri Radha who showers grace unasked for.

Vaishnava Samhita. Krishnadasa Charitam. Vol III Book VI Chp 18 Shlokas 6 - 8

In Bengal, there was a brahmana named Krishnadasa. He knew the Vedanta and had subdued all his senses. He visited many places and had a pilgrimage to all the holy teerthas and finally reached Shri Brindavan that bears the holy imprint of the holy feet of Shri Radha Devi. He led a peaceful and happy life daily reciting the Bhagavatam and worshipping Lord Krishna, always remaining in the company of the sadhus.

Vaishnava Samhita. Krishnadasa Charitam. Vol III Book VI Chp 18 Shlokas 3 - 5

What use do such exogenous practices like bathing in holy waters, chanting mantras and performing homas have if they fail to promote devotion to Lord Hari? Who did initiate the great Hari bhaktas like Prahlada, Gajendra, Guha, Hanuman and others to the ritualistic samskaras? The people, who specialize in the art of tantra insist on the vaishnavas wearing symbols. But the prema bhaktas who are true rasikas always bear Shri Bhagavan in their hearts.

A tru vaishnava is identified by bhakti and not by mere vaishnavite practices. Even after being initiated to the five fold rituals called Pancha Samskara one may have a mundane existence. Bhagavan Shri Krishna knowing fully the true essence of bhakti does not get impressed with ritualistic practices alone. He expects only true devotion in the bhaktas.
